Trips in the Northern Circuit are highly dependent on wildebeest migration. During the month of Dec TO March we expect to see many wildebeest in the area of Ndutu on the Serengeti side but mostly on the Ngorongoro side. This is the time of wildebeests breeding where every day up to 5000 babies are born. This package is special for those who have time to travel between Dec and March

Day to day Itinerary

Day 1: Nights In Arusha

Arusha in Africa is your gateway to Tanzania’s treasure trove

Arrive Kilimanjaro International Airport, and proceed to the Immigration desk for VISA Stamp. Before leaving the desk make sure your passport is correctly stamped. Outside the airport you will meet with your safari guide with a sign board with one of your names. Our safari guides has gone through COVID 19 standard procedure course, and they will make sure they follow all the protocols. Depart the airport and drive to Haradali home for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 & 4: 2 Nights in Tarangire

One of the lesser-known game reserves in Tanzania, Tarangire rivals the Serengeti in its great number and diversity of wildlife.

Day 3 & 4

We are glad to have you staying with us and now is the time to say goodbye so you can start your journey to visit Tanzania beautiful and famous national parks. Today you will start with Tarangire National Park. The park is named after the Tara River within the park. Tarangire National Park is very popular with many elephants as well as other animals like Lions, wildebeests, buffalos, zebras, leopards etc. This park has an area of 2,850 km². The Tara river is used by animals for water. Tarangire National Park also has very large baobab trees that have lived for many years.
By 08:00hrs in the morning your driver will be waiting for you while your packed lunch is ready in the car. You will head directly to Tarangire National Park for all day game drive for 2 days. Your nights will be at Maromboi.

Day 4 & 5: 2 Nights in Ndutu After Crater Tour

Day 4 & 5

Crater is very beautiful and animals are more active early in the morning, you can decide to have breakfast at the camp or depart with packed breakfast and packed lunch. Always discuss with your safari guide. Today you will descend into the crater some 600 meters to experience the true spirit of Africa, the Africa of bygone days when you explore the crater as permanent home of wildlife population, long regarded as Africa’s “Garden of Eden”. From the comfort of your 4 x 4 vehicle crafted exclusively for game viewing will give an opportunity to spot Big five – Elephant, buffalo, leopard, black mane lion and the rare black rhino as well as hyenas, jackals, flamingos and the yawning hippos. Enjoy a delightful picnic lunch in the heart of this ancient volcanic crater close to the hippo pool. Early evening drive to Ndutu area where you will spend 2 nights at Lake Ndutu Luxury Tented Lodge.

WHY NDUTU:

Ndutu Area forms the Northwestern part of the Ngorongoro Conservation area. It settles between Ngorongoro and Serengeti. Ndutu is known for beautiful landscape and the famous calving season caused by the immigration of the wildebeests from the Masai Mara Reserve in Kenya to The Great Serengeti plains in Tanzania. There are at least 5000 calves born every day due to the large number of wildebeests that cross over. The best season to visit the place is from December all the way to the end of March.

Day 6 & 7 : 2 Nights in Serengeti National Park

A World Heritage Site teeming with wildlife

Day 6 & 7

You will depart just after breakfast and your safari guide will make sure that your packed lunches are in the vehicle. Today you will have your last game drive in Ndutu area, late afternoon you will depart to Serengeti National Park. You and your guide will decide on where to stop for packed lunch. A place with great view will be perfect. You will arrive at Serengeti in the late afternoon then proceed with game drive in this beautiful endless plain. After the long drive, you will be taken to Lemala Kuria Hills for dinner and overnight stay.
Serengeti National Park is undoubtedly the best-known wildlife sanctuary in the world, unequalled for its natural beauty and scientific value, it has the greatest concentration of game plains in Africa. The Serengeti ecosystem is one of the oldest on earth. The essential features of climate, vegetation and fauna have barely changed in the past million years. Some patterns of life, death, adaptation and migration are as old as the hills themselves!

Day 8: 1 night in Ngorongoro after Manyara

After an early breakfast, set out on a scenic drive from the Serengeti to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The journey offers the opportunity to see more of Tanzania’s stunning landscapes and perhaps spot additional wildlife along the way. As you leave the Serengeti, you’ll pass through the Ngorongoro Highlands, with its lush, green hills and vibrant local villages.

Day 9: 1 night in Ngorongoro after Manyara

Day 9

Begin your final day with an early morning descent into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most remarkable wildlife havens on Earth. The crater is a natural amphitheater teeming with life, offering the chance to see the Big Five and a multitude of other species in a relatively small area. Enjoy a morning game drive, exploring the crater floor and its diverse habitats, from grasslands to forests and swamps. After a picnic lunch by the hippo pool, ascend the crater rim and begin your journey back to your lodge.
